New York Gone Vintage

A store alert is flashing on Third Avenue at Vintage Thrift Shop, where vintage fans and brightly colored rotary telephones to antique globes, and 1920s decadents like vanities, chandeliers and silver frames, draw in your girly-side.

One key advantage of shopping in small boutiques, resale and thrift shops is inventory (merchandise turns over much more quickly or displayed merchandise changes), sales (owner discretion allow discounts throughout the year or on a whim), and bargaining (all items are opening to negotiation--always).

Object(ive) Obsessions

Button-tufted, elegant lines, a bowed back? Your highness, how am I ever going to afford such a prize? Well, when you go to the Maxx, you can have it all.

A replica of this armless dining chair (in powder blue) can be found at T.J. Maxx for only $146. Our "chic eye spotted" one at the New York City location at 620 Ave. of the Americas, (between W.18th and W. 19th Streets), (212) 229-0875. Click here to search for a T.J. Maxx near you.
